Your first point of call on Day 1 is the Registration Desk to complete the registration formalities. Participants who have NOT completed their registration on-line or who have not yet uploaded their Remita receipt and bank tellers by Thursday 15 August 2019 should register and pay their registration fees at the On-site Registration Desk.
Name Tag
Upon completion of registration, a name tag will be issued to you immediately. Please have this on your person at all times. You might be prevented from entering the conference venue and other activities of ISDS without your name tag.
General Questions or Concerns
Visit the registration desk if you have any general questions or concerns relating to the events or your stay here in Ibadan.
Technology Needs
If you brought your own laptop, feel free to charge it at the various charging points available in the halls. You are expected to arrive the venue of your presentations early enough to submit your PowerPoint slides. All PowerPoint presentations for each day must be uploaded between 8:00 and 8:30am. Otherwise we assume that you are no longer interested in the presentation. Please contact the workshop assistants for any ICT help for uploading of your presentation.
Abstracts and Presentations
A copy of the draft book of abstracts is available to all registered participants. It will also be uploaded on the CESEDV website, Please note that some of the presented papers shall be invited for submission for publication assessment in the African Journal of Sustainable Development (AJSD). Some of the plenary papers will also be published as proceedings or an edited book. This will be done after taking into consideration reviews and comments from the Summit as well as two blind reviews.
Cocktail by the Vice Chancellor
The Vice Chancellor is organising a cocktail party for Summit participants at the Vice Chancellor’s Lodge by 7.00pm on Monday, 19 August 2019. Buses will be provided to take participants to the VC lodge.
Tea Break and Lunch
Tea and lunch will be provided for all registered participants. All meals will be served at the designated centres for Days 1 and 2 and while that of Day 3 will be served in the restaurant just opposite the CESDEV suite. All participants shall also be served tea or coffee during tea breaks.
Summit Dinner
The end of Summit Dinner shall hold on Wednesday, 21 August 2019. The venue will be communicated to all the participants.
ATM machines are located at designated places within the campus and about five minutes’ walk down the road in front of some local banks.
University of Ibadan
The university is accessible by bus or taxi. The University and its facilities are important tourist attraction. The Centre will be willing to organise short visit round the University for interested participants.
